Leaving Las Vegas

After 24h it was time to move on. We came here at lunch time and we left the next day. It was nice to see it but it somehow reminds me on the Märchenwald in Germany I have seen as a kid. I was amazed when I was there as a kid but disappointed when I visited the place again as an adult. To me it seems Las Vegas is just the same.

There are two things I will miss though: the kingsize bed and the bathroom.

Gondolas, Canals. Everything is there. The water is crystal clear and … smells! Chlorine! Everything is covered in artificial light! Everything looks like it is made of paper and plastic and I guess that’s what everything is made of here. Las Vegas is a strange place. I think prefer the real thing. Continue reading

Viva Las Vegas

Las Vegas is a strange place. And if you are in a strange place the best thing to do is to act strange to assimilate. Las Vegas is known for it’s casinos and hotels. So we decided to stay in a hotel and leave our RV in the car park. I guess we are no hard core campers. It’s sound very strange to pay for a hotel when you are already paying for your RV but in Las Vegas it makes sense. They have so many hotel rooms that you can get them for very little money. At the same time they have very expensive RV parks. At the end it’s an easy decision if you have to pay $10 more for 4 star hotel on the strip. Continue reading
