Las Vegas is a strange place. And if you are in a strange place the best thing to do is to act strange to assimilate. Las Vegas is known for it’s casinos and hotels. So we decided to stay in a hotel and leave our RV in the car park. I guess we are no hard core campers. It’s sound very strange to pay for a hotel when you are already paying for your RV but in Las Vegas it makes sense. They have so many hotel rooms that you can get them for very little money. At the same time they have very expensive RV parks. At the end it’s an easy decision if you have to pay $10 more for 4 star hotel on the strip.

I would have loved to stay in the Caesars Palace but our RV did not fit into their garage. The guy on the reception said there is no way to put our vehicle there so I ask the guy in the tourist hotel reservation office and he said I should call the Tropicana because they got a big car park for buses. So we stayed at the Tropicana.

But of course the first thing we did is to go the Caesars Palace. It took a while as we walked trough the other hotels. This was the best way to avoid the 40 degrees Celsius. I took only the Sony NEX 5. Problem was that I had no spare battery. There was none available before a left home but I got one in a Sony shop in the Caesars Palace shopping center. I bought it and asked to sales guy whether it’s possible to charge it for me. On my way back two hours later I picked it up and was able to continue taking pictures.

Italy. Even better than Italy. No cars, no scooters, no dust or heat. Just an air-conditioned heaven with hourly sunsets.
