After crossing Toga pass we went straight for breakfast in Lee Vining. We managed to eat at the same place as 3 years before but that’s not a challenge because Lee Vining is not much more than a cross road, a petrol station and two small diners. Continue reading →

Last Signs of Winter

These are not the best images I took when I was in California but they are needed to tell the story of the trip. We crossed Tioga pass ( almost 10.000 feet / or over 3.000 m ) on May 12th. It’s obvious that not long ago the pass was still closed because of snow. Continue reading →

And now something completely different or why I never will be able to finish my blog posts. I did not post a lot in May because I was in sunny California. I did not post in July so far because I was on a business trip in South East Asia again. Continue reading →

I Won’t Come Back.

When I was visiting Yosemite NP the first time in September 2010 I was disappointed. It was hot and dry and all the waterfalls were practically non existent. This year we went there in early May. I expected a completely different look and I was right. The park looks much nicer in spring. Continue reading →
