I just came back from a two week business trip in South East Asia. As mentioned in my previous post it was my first time in Asia and I was deeply impressed. Everything is colorful and full of life. Even though I just visited the big cities ( Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi, Bangkok, Manila and Jarkata ) I got a first idea about Asia. I sure will return.

Saturday the 17th of March, Airport of Jakarta, Indonesia about 7pm. I’m sitting at the gate waiting for boarding and think about the last two weeks. Today we get the opportunity to vote against the general conscription and for a professional army. I’m not sure we need either but when I look at the map there are not too many countries left that have a general conscription, especially in the “Western World”. I was in the army once but honestly I would prefer to be defended by professionals should there ever be a need. If I want to have my teeth checked I go to see my dentist not my neighbor.
