We Are Spoiled

The day of the flight. We had no chance to get a late check out because the hotel was very busy. It was the 3rd of July.

We returned our car the day before and we didn’t want to walk around in the heat so what could we do? Well, the obvious thing: I started to gamble. But I kept it simple and spend my time and finally my money on the slot machines. First a gained a little and then I lost it again. At least my clever wife saved a five or ten dollar not for the tip for the taxi driver.

The flight back was on Edelweiss. A very famous alpine flower but in this case the low cost  brother of Swiss Air. The space in economy class was special and more in line of what you expect on a short flight. But this was a transatlantic flight. It was so cramped that when the guy in front reclined his seat it almost touched my nose. In short: not recommended. On the other end of the spectrum is ANA, All Nippon Airways, the official airline from Japan. The leg room in eco in enormous.

But at the end it is just a flight. You watch movies, you eat a little and you sleep a little and after a while you are home. I think we are just spoiled. Imagine to complain about your journey to people that had to cross the ocean on a ship 100 years ago.

That’s it. I finally managed to upload my trip from 2015 before the year 2023 ends. The lesson I have learned is: keep things simple. Take only one camera or if more than one camera make sure it’s from the same brand. Or just take your phone of course. Yes I think we are all spoiled.
