A couple more pictures from my “lost trip” from 2015.
Las Vegas almost 8 years back. I already explained the reason why I called this the “lost trip” and why it took me years to post those on my blog but since I explained this more than a year ago here it is again.
In 2015 I shot with a full frame mirrorless camera from Sony, a full frame DSLR from Canon and APS-C cameras from Fuji and Sony. All in one trip! I shot RAW on all those cameras and had a hard time to make those images match so that the have the same look. In 2016 we went to the USA again and that time I only shot with Fuji cameras. So I skipped the 2015 trip because I didn’t want to deal with the post processing. It took a pandemic and a new, faster desk top to finally work on the old files.

Beside the camera madness it was a great trip. Beautiful hikes in Bryce Canyon and the Arches NP, a ride up Pike’s Peak, Leadville, The Garden of Gods and sunset beach walks in Carpinteria. A perfect trip.
We just returned to Las Vegas the day before our flight. We visited Las Vegas many times before that’s why we decided to stay at the beach as long as possible. Las Vegas is nice but nothing beats sunsets on the beach. We had no plans for the last day except to return our car and to eat at Shake Shack. When it comes to burgers this is one of my favorites. (Un)fortunately there is no Shake Shack where I live.

During the day we rested. We went out for an early dinner (Shake Shack) and for a photo walk at the blue hour but we didn’t get far. After three weeks of vacation we were kind of recovered and exhausted at the same time if that makes sense.
Of course I can only assume it was like that because I can’t remember how we felt 8 years ago but normally it is like that. After three weeks of traveling your brain has got enough of new impressions for a while.
