Next station: Sibenik, an amazing old town and a first impression of what to expect a little further down the coast.

Croatia is famous for its clear, blue coastal waters and the many islands but it should also be famous for its beautiful, ancient old towns in Pag, Sibenik, Split and Dubrovnik.

Right in the very centre of the old town there is a beautiful looking restaurant and cafe where we stopped for coffee. It was still hot under the umbrellas but who wants to go inside to hide from the sun when winter is just around the corner?

It is still surprisingly busy for the middle of September but I think it is because of Covid-19. A lot of popular destinations are still out of reach so Croatia sees even more tourists this year. And while masks are seen indoors it seems that we are slowly crawling back to normal.

You can spend hours here wandering to narrow medieval alleyways. We just did that a couple of years back. But this time we literally stopped by for coffee. A small detour on our way to Split but a much more attractive way to have a coffee break.

As you can see a one camera, one lens experience.
