High ISO Cat Images

FinePix X100 (23mm, f/2.8, 1/60 sec, ISO2000)

Here are two images I took just before we left home for a 3 weeks Vacation in British Columbia. It shows the cat of our neighbor. He is a very friendly and lovely animal the only problem is that for some reason he thinks that we are his family.

It wasn’t before last April when he entered our porch first time and jumped on my lap. I have to add here that I never liked cats. Well that has changed! Now he visits us every day. Sometimes he waits on our parking lot or he is somewhere checking out when we are coming home.

The reason why I post this image is because I talked about the low noise the camera emits when taking images and this post is about the incredible noise performance at High ISO shots. The image above was taken at 2000ASA! This is better than what I got from my Canon 5D which has a two times bigger sensor. Incredible.

The image below is taken with 1000ASA. There is hardly any noise at all: Modern Times!
