FinePix X100 (23mm, f/2.8, 1/105 sec, ISO200)
This was shot on 2nd of September 2011. I got the camera 2 days before and was not familiar with the settings and the menu system which is a little Fuji if you know what I mean. I met Harald in his office in the Museum of Natural History in Vienna.
This is the perfect location and Harald is the perfect model too. On that day we went for lunch first and played with the camera settings. It happened that I turned the camera to JPEG mode and did realize my mistake just before the end of the shooting. Bad luck. I changed to RAW in 2003 and never looked back. Initially I was not very happy but at the end it was the best thing that could have happened.
When I got back home I imported the images in Lightroom and tried out some post processing because they looked a little flat. I tried the Bleach Bypass effect and the result was stunning. I just reduced the exposure and tuned in some highlight recovery and got this image. I was not able to do that with the RAW files. Sometimes a mistake can lead to something special.
