What it means to be a man? To order spiciness level 3 in an authentic Thai restaurant in Flagstaff, AZ.
On this trip we wanted to reduce the number of burgers and fries so we turned to Asian food as often as this was an option. Vietnamese, Japanese and of course Thai. Thai food is fantastic but of course it is known to be spicy. Usually the chefs adjust to local population so in Austria they tone it down a lot with the spicy. In this great place they were more serious about being authentic.
They offer 5 levels so of course being a man I had to order 3 but really wanted to order 4. 😉 I was glad that I have ordered 3. This was as spicy as the medium spicy I got in Bangkok that made me sweat and gave me a hiccup. I got a little hiccup here too but it was not only spicy it was fantastic. Thai food is great even in Flagstaff, AZ.

This will be our last night in higher altitude. Tomorrow we are drying to Phoenix. I expect heat and to finally get rid of my cold that I got in Bryce Canyon. I suffered when we stayed in Silverton in Colorado almost 3.000 meters above sea level. I had a massive cold and I had problems to breathe. Even my oxygen saturation got low according to my Apple watch.
I also managed to pass my cold to my wife so we both looked forward to some dry desert heat.
