Today we get the opportunity to vote against the general conscription and for a professional army. I’m not sure we need either but when I look at the map there are not too many countries left that have a general conscription, especially in the “Western World”. I was in the army once but honestly I would prefer to be defended by professionals should there ever be a need. If I want to have my teeth checked I go to see my dentist not my neighbor. The last day of the year was very nice. We slept long and than we decided to go “sightseeing”. We drove to Vienna to see the Wotruba church.
