The Art Museum in Palm Springs is an attractive place and it better be because it never rains in Southern California.
Every time we visit Palm Springs we visit this museum. And every time we find something new like this object. I didn’t take a picture of the sign so I can only guess that it is a giant caleidoskope ball. The only thing I can say is that it works.

I love the building with its warm tones and the art on display is real fun like the old tourist couple or the naked woman. Especially the later looks so real that you need to get really close to be able to tell that it’s not a real person. First time we saw it we thought that this could be some kind of performance art. But of course this is the USA and a real naked body would cause outrage even if it comes with a trigger warning. 😉
This museum always seems to have the right amount of visitors. You are not alone but it’s not crowded either. Something that can’t be said about my favourite museums in Vienna. I guess we need nicer weather in Austria.

Beside the museum we have another spot we or better I have to visit. It’s a car dealer specialised in classic cars. You can find a Mercedes or Jaguar there but the focus is on US cars from the golden era when gas was cheap and global warming was not even a thing yet.
I just love those cars but of course I would never have one. Maybe I would If I would live in the US but in Austria those cars are not an option. The running cost would be prohibitive even if you just take it out on sunny Sundays.

No Lincoln Continental (my favourite) this time but a beautiful Plymouth from 1966 with history. But we have to hit the road again. Back to the coast of California.
Time for some sunsets at the beach before we have to fly back home.
