In Las Vegas I sounded as I’m not a real camper but I’m. Of course I love to have a kingsize bed and a big bathroom but I still prefer to travel with RVs for many reasons. One is that you do not have to adopt to different hotels every second day. The other one is that you do not have to lug around your bags or living out of your bag. But the biggest one is that you are not caged up in a big hotel. Camping means that you stay right in nature and camping with an American RV means that you still have the comfort of a hotel room ( well almost ). You camp on great places and you are just one small step away from nature.
In the image above you can see the high dynamic range you get from a big sensor camera like the NEX. You can’t compare that to a digital compact.

Monument Valley. Maybe the highlight of our trip. What a place. We arrived on afternoon and were lucky to get the last full hook up on the campsite. It was only for RVs up to 25f and ours was 30f so the guy ask me to check it out first. We made it fit because we really wanted to stay there. Then we went for the visitor center which is a 5 minutes drive from the campground. We waited for the sun to set and stayed till is was almost dark. This place is magical and if you plan to visit the South West make sure you go there too.

While I shot most of the images with my full frame DSLR two of my favorite I got with the NEX. The image above was done with the panoramic mode of the NEX. This is a great feature but you need to watch the exposure time. I should have used a shorter time to get a real sharp image but the result is still great. This is straight out of the camera. Great modern times.
