Another beautiful and sunny morning in the USA, a little cool though. Autumn in close.
Our second time in the Arches NP was even better than the first visit because we finally hiked to the Delicate Arch. It helped that it was a little cooler this time and that we left the hotel before sunrise to start the hike early.
Today was different. When we left for Montrose the sun was already up.

We expected beautiful landscape but we didn’t expect to see this. A ghost town? right in the middle of nowhere. I’m not sure if this is already a ghost town. The map says it’s name is Cisco and when we started our trip we thought that this little town might be a chance to stop for a coffee but I guess we have to drive another 50 miles to get one.
I googled Cisco and it found that it finally became a ghost town when the nearby interstate was opened. But because it is on one of the main tourist routes it seems that a lot of “funny” people thought that they need to put their mark on the buildings. Well, not everyone is an artist.
The guy who painted the mural at least has tried his best.

Just when we left Cisco we got the opportunity to get a close up shot of an Antelope. Luckily I was fast enough to grab my 100-400 from the arm rest compartment on the back row to get the shot.
The antelope decided to cross the road which gave me chance to take one more shot including the road. I didn’t expect a lot for our drive from Moab to Montrose but we passed a ghost town and even saw wildlife. What a nice surprise!
