Strange Things along the Road

When we left Zion NP we came across this strange place. A gift shop on the road to the park.

Its design was something truly special. The shop owners built a whole small western town with houses that looked like Tim Burton had designed them. Amazing! But we just started our todays trip to Salt Lake City so this place came to early for a break. We just took a couple of pictures from the outside and drove on.

A little later we stopped by a petrol station to fill her up and to get some coffee and a dipped cone. But the Dairy Queen wasn’t open.

And I passed on the Coonskin caps for $11.99 because there is no chance that I put a Racoon on my head at home (or on vacation). So no ice and no new hat but a cool shot from the DQ and the petrol station against a cloudless sky. Time to move on.
