Sunny Afternoon

Sometimes it’s far too hot, too cold, it rains or there is massive headwind. Sometimes it is just perfect. Yesterday was such a day.

A warm and sunny Sunday afternoon in September. I did’t even expect nice weather. I was prepared for rain. I took my rain jacket with me and put my iPhone in a small plastic bag. But instead of rain I had a fantastic ride in beautiful afternoon light.

My iPhone 6 plus is the first phone that surpasses the image quality of all small sensor compact cameras I ever owned. No wonder that this camera category practicably died out. There is no reason to take a compact camera with you if your phone takes images that are just as good or even better if we talk about panorama images.

When I was young a telephone was something that was hanging on the wall. And the only thing you can do with it was to make a phone call. Today you can shoot high quality images or HD video. You can listen to music, write emails, play games or surf the internet. And of course you still can make phone calls.

Great new world!
