A Cat with Short Legs, Fishing net and Sunset

I wanted to report whether I missed my DSLRs or not and on the first day it happened twice. First I missed a longer lens on the image above. I would love to crop tighter but on the other hand the way it is it includes more of the building and the creative electrical installation.

The cat with the short legs caught my eye and not just mine. As soon as I started to look up to the window other people did the same. It reminds me of a game we played when in school. We stood in the street and looked up at a building. Very soon other people did the same. Soon we were surrounded by a crowd. Funny little game.

The images of the beach and these images were all taken at the first day of our vacation. That’s the good thing when don’t travel very far. Your vacation starts on day 1. The city we visited first was Piran in Slovenia. A nice little town by the sea. In the evening we had the first sunset by the sea. First dark clouds were rolling in and they forecasted lot’s of rain for the next couple of days coming from the British Isles. In the South of Europe the forecast was way better. That’s way we decided to go to Croatia instead of Cornwall last minute ( the afternoon before we left ).

The second time I missed a longer lens was for the sunset shots. I love sunsets at the sea and the moment when the sun just disappears behind the horizon. You need a long lens to get a good image for that. I realized that I don’t need a DSLR but a longer lens for my NEX. But the NEX wasn’t with me. The first night I took only the X100 for the long walk from hotel to town. I really have become lazy when it comes to carrying camera gear.
