I like signs. If you like signs too the USA is the place to go. Lot’s of signs all over the place. Mostly these signs are there to tell you what is not allowed. In some places there are so many signs that it would be better to put up one sign that tells you what you are allowed to do, i.e.: feel free to breathe.
The sign above is among the funnier signs I have seen during my trip. I think it tells: Don’t drink and shoot. Or don’t shoot while having a drink. You might spill your drink. 😉

After “Leaving Las Vegas” we went to see the Hoover dam. It is a beautiful building with it’s art deco design elements. It shows that back than these buildings had lot’s of style. It was more than just function. A truly beautiful power station but I wasn’t impressed by it’s size. Maybe I expected too much. Of course it still gives you the strange feeling when you look down the dam.
The 24mm proved to be wide enough most of the time. It’s the first time for me since Ireland in the year 2007 that I was traveling without a super wide angle zoom. The reason is simple: It’s the 14mm Fuji lens. It spoiled me. Because of this lens I can’t shoot with the Canon 17-40L anymore. I will wait for what Canon offers in the future. But a 24mm lens on full frame is already rather wide. The XF14 from Fuji translates into a 21mm lens which is even more dramatic but much shorter than that is very hard to handle. The massive distortion draws too much attention to the lens. The pictures do not look natural anymore. It’s just no my cup of tea.
