High Towers, Glowing Trees, I’m suffering

After check in and shower we went for dinner. We is because unlike most of my other business trips this time I don’t travel alone. My colleague Sumita is traveling with me. She is from Malaysia so for the first 3 days I’m with a local.

Coming from late Austrian winter the heat almost made me sick. It was around 36 degrees Celsius and very humid. That’s a 30 degrees jump to what I had before I left.

But before dinner we went to the KL tower to see the city and the Petronas Towers. Fast elevator and very nice view. Too bad that the sun disappeared behind the clouds.

Down again daylight was gone. The famous blue hour lasted just long enough for a couple of shots of glowing trees. Kitsch – but beautiful. I start to love Asia but I’m suffering: It is still almost as hot as during the day. Beside the tower there is a rainforest right inside the city with bats flying around. This is a special place.

The last picture shows the KL tower. Yes it is not sharp thanks to Fuji forgot about the minimum shutter speed in the Auto-ISO menu. That’s why the shot of probably one of the best high ISO cameras around was taken at ISO 200 instead of i.e. ISO 800 to avoid camera shake. Enough rant. Colors are beautiful. These are all JPEGs right out of the camera.
