All Is White

I love colourful images but I also love winter landscapes Almost like black and white and it it is foggy they are something truly special.

The last couple of years there was hardly any winter at all. Maybe a little bit of snow for a day or two. The last couple of days were different. It was cold and there was a lot of snowfall so I decided to take a ride to take some pictures before it is all gone.

FUJIFILM X-H1 (140mm, f/5.6, 1/250 sec, ISO200)

I didn’t take my X-Pro3 because the 16-55 and the 50-140 feel better and more natural on the DSLR like body of the X-H1. I really enjoy this camera because of its build quality and its super silent shutter. And of course I preferred to shoot with the zooms to avoid lens changes. I was surprised how good the AF worked in those ultra low contrast conditions. I would have problems to focus manually here but the AF was spot on.

Snowfall, foggy and cold. Miserable weather for a walk but perfect weather for some special winter pictures.
