Photographer at the Gates of Dawn

A cold but beautiful morning in Colorado and a shot that deserved a cool title. I think I managed that.

The title shows that music plays an important part of my life. Just like photography. Great hobbies and also a great opportunity to burn a lot of money. But here comes the crazy part. The more money you spend on cameras and lenses or on hifi gear the harder you have to work to earn all that money. The more you work the less time you have to enjoy to travel and take pictures or to simply listen to music.

I figured that part out already some time ago but for whatever reason I still didn’t manage to find the perfect solution for me. I want to listen to music with a nice stereo system and I want to take pictures with a nice camera and lenses. It’s tricky!

Back to this beautiful morning in Colorado. There was a large group of photographers enjoying their hobby and their gear. I saw many carbon tripods and fancy cameras and lenses. I also saw a group of happy people enjoying the beautiful autumn scenery, enjoying  their hobby.

I think it is simple: Enjoy what you can afford as long as you still have time and money to travel or to buy and listen to Vinyl. There are far worse ways to waste money.
