Brand New Ca … Camera

A cat image usually means testing a new camera. This image is not different: The cat ( not ours! ) is brand new while the camera is not. It’s second hand.

This year I got myself a very special christmas present. A new camera. I bought it about 10 days before Christmas and left it in the box. I bought the X-Pro 1 plus the 2.0/18 ( both second hand ) and got the 1.4/35 from my wife. She wrapped everything in beautiful christmas paper. All I needed to do was to wait. I felt like a 5 year old boy waiting for Christmas eve.

Two months ago I wrote: At the moment I’m not 100% sure whether I will go Fuji X-E1 or Sony NEX 6. I’m leaning towards the Sony but might also end up getting a Fuji X Pro-1. Vola! I was right.

The X100 has become my favorite camera of all times. I’m curious if the X-Pro 1 will be able to become my new number one. Time will tell ( and this blog ).

Meanwhile here is another cat image. ISO 3200. ISO 3200 !!! Unbelievable! Those are RAW images processed in Lightroom. Yes it is possible! Plus the VSCO Kodak Portra 160 preset.
