Early Morning Traffic, Hanoi

I know I’m repeating myself. It’s just that I got so exited about all the scooters and the way people are commuting in the two big cities of Vietnam. Of course I’m glad that Vienna has a modern pubic transport system like subway, trains, streetcars and buses because the air in both cities is anything but healthy. You can feel it. It hurts your lungs and I felt it in my throat just after spending half an hour on a crossroad.

Sometimes it is also breathtaking to see how the people deal with the traffic. Just look at the picture above. A young boy and his little brother ( I’m just guessing ) on a bike just about to merge into the traffic of the main road. The boy is checking something on his mobile phone? Not sure it is a phone but it looked that way. The point is that they both do not pay attention on the traffic.

Actually none of the people I saw looked at the traffic. They just looked straight ahead or looked at me like the small family. Amazing!
