It was in March when I first came to Hongkong and it felt like to enter\u00a0a new world.<\/p>\n

If you come to a place that is totally different to your home or to other places you have seen before it is very likely that you are overwhelmed. This happened to me. I had no clear plan when I left my hotel and drove to the center (Nathan Road) with a shuttle bus. I only knew that I need to have a good walk to get rid of my tired legs after the long flight.<\/p>\n

As a consequence none of the first images that I took and now posted here belong together. I stumbled through Nathan Road into Kowloon park. I passed the Hongkong Avenue of Comic Stars which is a collection of super-sized bizarre comic heroes. I took a couple of shots there but my favorite was the old men on the bench reading the papers in between those strange comic stars.<\/p>\n

Or the one of the lady in her morning work out in the surprisingly peaceful park. I loved the\u00a0way the park ends in a busy road again and of course the smiling guard in front of the watch store with his\u00a0pump gun chatting with some passers-by. It seemed to me that Hongkong is all about contrasts.<\/p>\n

I finally made it to the ferries at Victoria harbor where I saw this gentleman. I never heard anything like that in my life.<\/p>\n

The old men reading the papers in between the comic heroes, the women doing gymnastics in the park, the friendly guard with the pump gun and the gentleman below. I just started but I already loved Hongkong.<\/p>\n
