Some more\u00a0from last years trip to the South West of the USA. On our way to Monument Valley we found this friendly little fellow just beside the road at the border to Utah. I stroked its head. It felt like the coconut doormat we used to clean our boots but it smelt much worse.<\/p>\n

Initially we did not stop for the goat. I stopped to take a picture of the welcome signs. That’s when I recognized the goat behind the barbwire.<\/p>\n

I loved the scenery. The red sand, the green bushes, the stinky goat behind the barbwire fence and all in front of one of the most amazing landscapes. Click! Sometimes it is that simple. I prefer the first shot because it is more dynamic with the barbwire leading into the shot and the strong eye contact with the goat but I also like the shot above because it gives a good overview.<\/p>\n

Next turn right we approached Monument Valley or better the long row of cars lining up to\u00a0buy the ticket to enter the place. I remember that we bought a ticket when we came here 4 years ago but I think there were less cars than this time. Monument Valley hardly is an insider location. This is one of the most impressive places in the South West. I love it more than Bryce or\u00a0Grand Canyon. I enjoyed the dramatic light but hoped that we would get there before the big rain.<\/p>\n
