Sometimes traveling is uncomfortable and exhausting. Sometimes it is not.<\/p>\n

Last time I went to Bangkok the hotel sent a really nice car to pick me up from the airport. The first time ever I had the chance to get a massage while getting to the hotel. A real good way to start a business trip. The car was quiet, the air-condition effective and Wifi was fast. During my trips I traveled with a lot of different cars: various small taxis in Indonesia and the Philippines where I banged my head every time we drove over a pothole,\u00a0a 40 year old Mercedes driven by Methuselah himself in Malaysia, uncountable Toyotas, some very old, a Pajero on a trip to Ha Long Bay and a so called Toaster. Occasionally there was a BMW 7 series or Mercedes E or S class. This car was still the best so far.<\/p>\n

The massage seat kept me from falling asleep and I arrived at the hotel surprisingly fresh if you take into consideration that my trip started more than 24 hours ago. After a shower I was ready for Bangkok. (I already posted what followed the taxi ride in a blogpost named “Goldrush”.)<\/p>\n

PS: For shots like these my Ricoh GR comes very handy. It doesn’t make you look like a geek at least that is what I think. Not sure the driver agreed. He was a good driver and even more important a quiet man. If you are exhausted nothing can beat a\u00a0quiet man behind the steering wheel.<\/p>\n
