On the way to Salinas the light was just fantastic. The main camera was packed away in the booth but the Sony NEX 5 was sitting in the cup holder.<\/p>\n

The key is to always be ready. I missed so many shots in my life because I had no camera with me. Not anymore at least when I’m on vacation. On my last vacation in the USA it was the Sony NEX 5 like on the first one. On my next trip it will be a Fuji X-M1 with it’s kit lens that I bought for my wife and me.<\/p>\n

Why is it for me? First: I got the double lens kit that includes the 50-230 lens which I want to use\u00a0for long lens shots with the X Pro-1. I prefer the 55-230 lens over the 55-200 because of weight. Second: Because I was tired to correct white balance on the Sony NEX 5 shots. These shots look very nice now but the out of camera RAWs looked completely different. Lot’s of playing around in the LR. No more! The Fuji X-M1 will give exactly the same files as my Fuji X Pro-1 and that’s fantastic news. No need for post processing.<\/p>\n

Now I can borrow the 50-230mm when I want to travel without a DSLR like in Croatia last year (when I missed a long lens) and my wife can borrow my 14mm lens when I’m shooting with my Canon 6D. Did I mention post processing? It’s a win win win situation.<\/p>\n
