It’s over.\u00a0The last car ride during the day in India. Back to the hotel and than a night flight to Malaysia.<\/p>\n

I changed to my GR because I prefer\u00a0its\u00a0slightly longer lens out of the car and to let my XP1 cool down. I can’t remember that I ever had this before. My Fuji X Pro-1 got rather warm during the shootings in India.<\/p>\n

The outside temperature was extremely high with 40 degrees Celsius in Chennai that felt even hotter because of the high humidity. I have shot the XP1 in very similar\u00a0climates before: KL, Bangkok, HCMC, Manila or in hot and dry weather like in Palm Springs but I can’t remember that it ever ran so warm. I did not fail but it was not comfortable to hold. But when I saw the poor guys in the picture below making copper vats beside the fire I forgot about the warm camera.<\/p>\n

Both cameras feel unbreakable. The XP1 and the GR. I had a shutter failure on my X100 but after the repair the camera was tough as nails too. It survived a snow storm at the red square. I shoot my cameras in all condition except in strong rain and never had any issues. Those cameras are more durable than most of us. We most likely break down first.<\/p>\n

What I didn’t manage to shoot was Indian trucks. I didn’t see as many as expected and when they were too far away. Literarily last minute I saw some beside the road. We passed by rather fast but thanks to my special fast shooting settings I got the shot. The image below is cropped to about 50mm field of view. Not a big deal with the super sharp files from the GR. More on shooting fast with slow cameras soon.<\/p>\n
