Saturday the 17th of March, Airport of Jakarta, Indonesia about 7pm. I’m sitting at the gate waiting for boarding and think about the last two weeks. I travel a lot for business but I never got that far. This business trip brought me to Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, the Philippines and to Indonesia. What a journey!<\/p>\n

This was my first time in Asia and I’m still overwhelmed. It is the same with my computer. It took my MacBookPro more than 12 hours to render the 1:1 views in Lightroom. These images are out of camera JPEGs with Fuji’s Velvia setting. Auto-WB! I’m not a JPEG shooter but if you prefer JPEG you have to shoot a Fuji X. There is nothing like that available from competition.<\/p>\n

A lipstick sunset after heavy rain ( the only rain within 2 weeks ). The perfect ending of a fantastic trip. When I left Austria there was still snow. When I landed it was the same. It felt like early February to August and back again.<\/p>\n

I’m really happy to finally go back to my wife, my family and friends and to the place where I belong but on the other hand it is also hard to leave. That’s why I got the Going Home theme from Local Hero (a wonderful film from 1983) in my mind. I feel the same way.<\/p>\n
