Time to post some shots from our California trip again. Hollywood Boulevard: Sounds fancy but it isn’t. Trust me. It is anything but that.

The place is strange. Strange people on the streets and on all corners. I don’t know if it’s safe after dark but it doesn’t look so. More of a Boulevard of broken dreams. Quite a shock after the days in Palm Springs.

Sounds there is nothing to see but that’s not true. The walk of fame is something special. To see all the footprints or hand prints of the stars is just great. To put your hand into the one of Gary Cooper or Leonard Nimoy is something special.

And there are some surprises too. John Wayne’s footprints are surprisigly small. My wife has bigger feet! It’s strange because he was a tall guy but it seems that his feet were really small. I googled but could not find the answer. Some say size 11 but I don’t think that’s true. Others state it’s about size 7. According to his footprints it’s more likely.

But no matter the shoe size these are big footsteps to follow. Till today nobody managed. Sure there are better actors but this man was the best cowboy, sherif, marshal or ex-boxer. This man was the impersonation of the Wild West. No doubt about that.

And while we talk about it. There are better actors like the guy below but he is the Terminator. And he is an Austrian so I had to take a picture. Well done Arnie.

Danny Kaye, Jimmy Stewart, Gary Cooper, Jack Lemmon, Shirley MacLain or Sophia Loren. All those great actors of the great time of Hollywood. All the memories when I see the names. It is a special place.

But now we need to hurry back to our hotel before it gets dark.
