In Los Angeles there are a lot of things to see: Disney World, the Universal Studios, Hollywood, Beverly Hills, and many more. So many we got lost and went to a museum first!

The Getty museum is much like the Guggenheim Museum in Bilbao: The museum is the attraction. It sits on a hill: White and beautiful!

We joined a group tour for a modern architecture exhibition. Of course taking pictures was forbidden! What they are afraid of? I have no idea. But the exhibition was very nice and the speaker obviously loved his topic. A great experience.

But beside the exhibitions it is mostly the museum itself which is just amazing. Beautifully designed and built with very light stone it shines in the bright Californian sun.

Of course everything is very well organized: There is a very big parking lot and a small train that brings the visitors up the hill. Everything runs smoothly and uncomplicated. A thing that  is true for traveling in this part of the USA in general. Your car never becomes a a burden no matter the size. It the opposite to most places in Europe where the worst way of traveling is by car at least in the towns.

Maybe that’s why I love Canada and the USA so much when it comes to traveling. There is just so much space! And beside time, space is the biggest luxury.
