Last Coffee, Last Sunset and a Church

The last coffee in 2012. At McDonalds. How sad is that? But the 31st of December wasn’t that bad at all. The year was. But it’s over now and I’m looking forward to 2013. The last day of the year was very nice. We slept long and than we decided to go “sightseeing”. We drove to Vienna to see the Wotruba church. It was built in the 1970s and but it still feels modern and fresh today.

Yes I know the hand is a little big. It isn’t that way in real life but that is the disadvantage of a wide angle lens if used for portraits. I like the shot though especially because of the natural look, the background and the colors.

I have also done some shots with the 35mm lens. The one above is an example. But for most of the pictures I used the 18mm. I also did some closer portraits I might post later. I’m collecting portraits at the moment.

The sky was blue the whole day which is very rare thing in winter. In the evening the first clouds appeared. Just enough to make a beautiful sunset. 2012 was a very tough year but it ended beautiful. Thanks to face time we were able to virtually clink glasses with absent friends at midnight but of course it isn’t the same. Hope you get well soon!
