Pag by Day

Pag on the island Pag. One of my favourite places in Croatia.

The island Pag is famous for its cheese and in the younger past for its excessive beach parties of high school graduates from Austria. But those parties happen to take place on a different part of the island and at a different time. It’s early summer when thousands of young people party before they go to university or try to find a job.

But in the middle of September and at this part of the Island Pag is rather quiet. And that is what I love about it.

But there is a difference in between quiet and empty. We were shocked how quiet it was when we arrived there in the afternoon. Sure there were a couple of tourists but it was obvious that the end of the saison is near.

For mid of September it was still very hot and that’s why the locals are not on the streets. It is simple: If you don’t have to go out you stay inside. For us it is very different of course. We know that the warm and sunny days will be limited once we are back home so we really enjoyed every minute in the sun.

During lunch time I still used my Fuji X-H1 plus the XF 16-55/2.8 WR but in the evening it will be prime time.
