It’s a strange new world. No I’m not talking C. I’m talking about a car that I saw on my last trip to Japan in February.
Of course at that time I had no idea that this would be my last trip for some time. A couple of weeks later I had to cancel my business trip to South Korea because of the coronavirus outbreak that just happened there.
A little more than a month later South Korea is safe or at least much safer than Europe or the USA. I have planed to be in Japan again in April or very latest in May but that’s not an option anymore. I’m not sure if I can go there again any time soon. Enough about C.
Back to the car which is one of the most impressive designs that I have seen for some time. And it’s a Nissan! A Nissan! Don’t get me wrong. I think that Nissan builds good cars but the are hardly known for their excellent design.

But this Nissan in a showroom in Ginza, Tokyo is different. It makes the Batmobile look ordinary and the Cybertruck ugly. OK the Cybertruck is ugly compared to many cars or trucks not just this Nissan.
This car could be the next Ferrari if Ferrari would have the balls or the next Lamborghini if Lamborghini would have the taste. This Nissan is a brutal beauty from every angle. A truly impressive supercar.

So how much is it? Sorry, it’s not for sale. This is just a design concept. I hate those. A couple of years I saw a new Volvo Estate care that looked fantastic only to find out that this is just a design concept. It’s still on there website. A gorgeous looking two door estate car.
Those design concept show what the designers are capable of if they would get the freedom. “Okay, nice try Frank (or in this case: Kobayashi san) now please get back to work and draw the boring box that we will actually build.”
