Rocks and Trees

We have a favourite place in the Joshua Tree NP. A quiet place behind a large rock. But this time we were not alone.

After a short stop we moved on. There is enough space in the park for everyone even on a busy day.

We just love those giant rocks in this park. It looks like a desert landscape from an old cartoon.

It’s tricky to show the size of those rocks except if there are people in the shot. Can you see the guy on top of the rocks in the image above. And there are two guys in the second image below walking back to the parking lot.

There are those rocks, lots of sand and of course the famous Joshua Trees. The first time I came here just because of the famous record from U2. The Joshua Tree. Though the famous cover was shot at Zabriskie Point. Another favourite spot right in the middle of the Death Valley.

This time we didn’t wait for sunset because we were tired from the long ride from Phoenix. So went we on to our hotel in Palm Springs and after a short break we went for dinner.

It was already dark but still hot like always. Someday we have to visit Palm Springs in the winter.
