It’s our sixth trip in the South West of the USA but the first time that we are going to visit Zion National Park.

It’s not because the Zion NP is an exotic choice that is far away from the touristic main route. It is the other way around. Zion NP is a touristic hot spot with so many visitors that you can only get around in special shuttle buses. And exactly that’s the reason why we didn’t visit it before.

But this time we went there and in order to have an early start the next day we decided to stay in the park. In a hotel with a view!

The hotel wasn’t exactly cheap but when we entered the parking we could see that it was the right decision. What a place! Sometimes it really pays to spend a little more.

The big advantage is to experience sunrise and sunset in a beautiful location and of course to have the chance to start the hike early morning without the need to drive to the location first.
